Thanks to the generosity and resources of more than 2070 board certified veterinary ophthalmologists across the U.S.A., Canada, Hong Kong, and Puerto Rico, more than 5,200 Service and Working Animals received free sight-saving eye exams during the ACVO/Epicur Service Animal Eye Exam Event in May this year.

We are pleased to announce that after working with our diplomate members and our sponsor, the 2022 ACVO/Epicur National Service Animal Eye Exam Event will be taking place in 2022 on a limited basis!
Our ACVO members are all very concerned about the global health and economic risks associated with COVID-19, and our thoughts are with those directly affected by this disease. Due to concerns of the health safety of clients, doctors, and employees in the pandemic, continued uncertainty of the course of the pandemic, and overextension of staff from increased caseloads due to limitations created by existing COVID-19 protocols, the members of ACVO feel it is in the best interest of everyone to cancel the 2021 ACVO/Epicur National Service Animal Eye Exam Event. The event will not be able to be rescheduled this calendar year.
Our ACVO members are all very concerned about the global health and economic risks associated with COVID-19, and our thoughts are with those directly affected by this disease. In order to adhere to CDC guidelines and not increase risk unnecessary exposure of the public, our doctors and their staff, ACVO has decided to cancel the 2020 ACVO/Epicur National Service Animal Eye Exam Event. The event will not be able to be rescheduled this calendar year.
The program continues to grow each year, last year seeing over 7,600 animals. Our continued growth would not be possible without YOU. Thank you to all the ophthalmologists and clinics that participated in the 11th Anniversary event in 2018.

The ACVO/StokesRx National Service Animal Eye Exam Event celebrated wrapping up the 11th annual event at AVMA! It’s been an amazing year for the program and we were able to promote the award winning program to a total of 7,655 attendees at the 2018 conference in Denver.

The 2018 NAVC Veterinary Innovation Council (VIC) Award winners were announced early last month at the NAVC meeting in Orlando, Florida. Among the 10 winners was the ACVO/StokesRx National Service Animal Eye Exam Event in the Organization: Other category.
