Thanks to the generosity and resources of more than 2070 board certified veterinary ophthalmologists across the U.S.A., Canada, Hong Kong, and Puerto Rico, more than 5,200 Service and Working Animals received free sight-saving eye exams during the ACVO/Epicur Service Animal Eye Exam Event in May this year. After a two-year hiatus and a limited program in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and safety concerns, animals including guide, hearing assistance, disability assistance, drug detection, police/military, search and rescue, and registered therapy animals, were able to benefit from the program at full capacity again.
