PROMOTION OF THE ACVO NATIONAL SERVICE DOG EYE EXAM DAY

The ACVO is providing customizable press kits for participating clinics to promote their local event. Please plan to email these documents and/or links to local print, radio and television affiliates to facilitate coverage of your individual event. Should your clinic receive print or video coverage, please consider sending a copy/link to the ACVO for archival purposes. This will help us should the event occur again in the future.

ACVO will conduct a media blitz mid-late April on a national level. We are currently developing relationships with national television media to facilitate this effort.

The ACVO National Service Dog Eye Exam Day will also be promoted through the endorsements of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), state Veterinary Medical Associations, ACVO and VOTS memberships, among other related organizations. This will help promote the event to general practice veterinarians who can then refer their clients to Diplomates participating in the event.

Additionally the Service Dog organizations below have agreed to invite their memberships to participate. They will be promoting the event through membership communications and their respective web sites. Once the details are worked out in March, we will link to their web sites in several areas of this site.
