Reserve the ACVO/Merial Service Dog Booth at your State VMA Conference or University Event
Diplomates of the College are encouraged to contact ACVO staff to arrange use of the ACVO/Merial Service Dog Event booth at their local or State VMA conference. Dr. Bill Miller came up with the idea and has successfully used the booth at several state VMA events where he spoke or attended. He was able to convince the state VMAs to provide him with free, non-profit booth space, even had a local company sponsor a monitor to run the PSA at the booth. (Remember that most state VMAs have already been on board promoting the event to their members.) Dr. Miller and staff then set up the booth, tore it down and shipped it back.
ACVO will cover the cost of shipping both directions. We can also supply some information cards and pens for distribution when available. Perhaps this might be an inexpensive way for you to gain interest in the event and in ophthalmology from your local referring general practitioners throughout the year, without ‘pushing’ your specialty. This might work especially well when you are also a speaker at the conference.
The booth is available for university docs if you have an event in your veterinary college in which you’d like to promote the ophthalmology specialty. It is a modern small, light weight, banner-type booth that is easy to set up and is attractive. It fits within a typical 10' booth space. Power is required to illuminate the booth. Contact the ACVO office for availability and scheduling. |
